No. It is affordable because it is factory direct. We cut out the retailer, distributor, and brand markup. You are paying for the aerospace-grade material, the multi-axis machine time, and the engineering labor. Nothing else.
Prices typically range from $150 to $300 USD, depending on the material and complexity of your design. You can see real-time pricing in the Studio as you build.
We build for enthusiasts, modders, and collectors who want to move beyond mass-produced parts. Whether you are building your first SEIKO mod or commissioning a unique piece for a luxury case, we provide the engineering grade.
Absolutely. While dial installation requires patience, our dials are built to standard dimensions (28.5mm, etc.) for easy fitment. We recommend working with a local watchmaker if you are unsure, but many of our clients are first-time modders.
Because each PiDial is irreversibly manufactured to your specific geometry and choices. Unlike mass-market products, a bespoke dial cannot be resold or restocked. The moment manufacturing begins, the titanium is permanently altered to your design. We provide a detailed digital proof phase to ensure you are 100% confident before we strike the first laser.
Standard engraving on third-party blanks often leads to geometry mismatches, movement incompatibility, and optical distortion. Most engravers don't account for "dial tilt" or the specific tolerances required for NH35/Miyota movements. PiDials are manufactured from the ground up as mechanical components, not just decorative plates.
We take full responsibility for technical precision. If your dial deviates from your approved proof, has improper foot alignment, or shows surface artifacts outside our quality threshold (±0.05mm), we will remake it from scratch. We don't ship "acceptable" failures — we only ship mathematical perfection.
We don't pull stock from a shelf. We mill your dial from a solid billet starting the moment your order is confirmed. This process—milling, engraving, finishing, and inspection—typically takes 2–4 weeks.
Yes. We offer complete custom builds. We source high-quality cases, hands, and movements (NH35, SW200, PT5000) and assemble the entire watch for you. We can also deep-engrave the case flanks and caseback to match your dial's theme.
Our standard is Grade 5 Titanium for its color properties. We also mill 316L Stainless Steel, C360 Brass, 6061 Aluminum, Sterling Silver, and 18k Gold upon request.
We support NH35, NH36, Miyota 8285, and many other mechanical movements. You can also specify a custom movement during the design process. Our dials are manufactured to precise tolerances to ensure proper fitment.
For Titanium, color is created through structural laser oxidation — not paint. We use precision lasers to grow transparent oxide layers that interfere with light. For other metals, we use deep laser engraving and physical texture to create contrast.
Yes! Our dial customizer allows you to upload custom designs, logos, and indices in SVG or PNG format. You have complete control over placement, sizing, and coloration.
We offer standard sizes (32mm, 36mm, 41mm) as well as custom diameters between 20-50mm. Custom sizes ensure your dial fits perfectly in your specific watch case.
Yes, all PiDials come with a warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers issues with dial feet integrity, center hole precision, and coloration adhesion. Normal wear and tear is not covered. Full details are available on our Policies page.
Dial installation requires watchmaking tools and skills. We recommend having your dial installed by a professional watchmaker unless you have experience with watch assembly. Improper installation can damage the dial or movement.
