01. Dimensionality
Stay within the 28.5mm active dial area. Our template includes precise guides for center holes and movement alignment.
02. Transparency
Export final designs as transparent PNGs. Any transparent pixel will translate directly to the raw, structural metal of your dial.
03. Contrast
Inverse engraving thrives on contrast. Solid black shapes create the most defined raised reliefs against the laser-ablated background.
The Designer's Philosophy
Think of your design as a landscape. In the PiDials process, your black pixels are mountains of solid metal, while the white space is the valley carved away by light. The interplay of depth is your most powerful tool.
